Gulp 1. Welcome to Bigardo´s new website

HELLO, how are you? I’m Kiko Calvo, among other things the hand you see on the label of Bigardo, my wine.

I want to welcome you to this website, made thanks to the Digital Kit […] and the people of LA OTRA COMUNICACIÓN, in Viriata zAMORa.

The truth is that making a website is a complicated task. It is clear to me that it is the best of my windows and when a project is small and fragile as Bigardo, my jealousy and also my hairs stand on end and the matter becomes almost an obsession. It was on my New Year’s resolution list several times, but you know… El mondo es difficile.

That said, we have tried to be as transparent and authentic as possible, as we are known for in this house. I think that’s one of our strongest values.

NOTHING MORE AUTHENTIC AND TRANSPARENT IN THE HISTORY OF CONTEMPORARY ART.

NOTHING MORE AUTHENTIC AND TRANSPARENT IN THE HISTORY OF CONTEMPORARY ART.

THE MAIN HOME. LANDING PAGE.

The web is structured in a main Home where without spending too much time you should get all the information you need…and if you want to know more, you can navigate in the different chapters, even in the Blog where you are now. It is about communicating how much we do around here and what differentiates us, which is also a lot, from other colleagues in the world of wine.

Personally, I like to write…I like to talk, and I like wine, all communication. Let’s say I am generous with words. Since I can’t have a conversation with each one of you, these tools help a lot to communicate without the need of fairs, advertising or other ways that other colleagues use to reach the consumer.

This cover starts with a video that includes some glimpses of our environment and our reasons. It is followed by a greeting sitting on one of my favorite stones, next to the Pellejo vineyard, in the vineyard of the Fariñas estate. It is the featured image of this first entry. One day I will get that stone closer to the winery…it has something magnetic about it…maybe it just has a magnet inside, you never know.

In my house there are several spaces full of stones of various origins (they are the cheapest souvenir and take up little space). I can’t tell you everything, but if everyone picked up stones like I do when I go as a tourist, possibly the Chinese wall would be a small pile of sand.

Following the scrolling web we continue with the wines, the protagonists of this story. Easy to access and with 360 technology, we thought it was the best way for the first virtual contact. Javier Garduño’s designs are something to show off.

After the wines there is a link to “Bigardo. Shop”. You can see that we want to deliver the wines to your home. This link also accompanies us throughout the navigation in the form of a cart in the upper right corner. In case you forget to buy and drink from us.

It is followed by a small introduction about the winery where the vineyards are also included. Soon there will be surprises with the vineyards section. Free Wines, Logical Wines and all that.

Then the section on Wine Tourism, an important point for us, very proud of our hotel and catering past. Here we emphasize the attractiveness of the 2 locations:

  1. Production winery next to the Duero River in a privileged enclave right at the mouth of the tributary Guareña River and surrounded by very interesting paths and routes.
  2. Bigardo.shop (Formerly LA MORADA DEL VINO, we have suddenly become modern) An old stable restored and opened to the public in 2019.
If we were in Napa Valley it would be a textbook TASTING ROOM, but since we are not it is a space that is part of Bigardo, until no one says otherwise.
This page ends with the obligatory google reviews and the contact and other formalities.
In these formalities we have included Our Mission, Vision and Values (M, V and V), a document written during the pandemic to be able to go South without losing the North no matter what happens and whoever falls.
In the classic hamburger menu, the different sections with more detail, that is:

If you have never made your own website, think of the amount of work involved. It is as if you had to do your tax return yourself or better, if you are self-employed…it would be to present to your consultant the 4 quarters of the year on January 1st, without fail.

The result is worth it. We accept suggestions. We will listen to them, although I do not promise that I will listen to you.

I hope to find the time and strength to make this Blog a fun place to learn more in depth about this horn craze.

This is just an approximation, as Pereza used to sing…
